Environmental Affairs Policy
Unisfair is committed to providing a safe and healthy work place for its employees and creating products that help our clients enhance the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The company is dedicated to protecting the environment and conserving energy and resources through its policies and practices. This is the foundation for the company’s environmental objectives:
- Provide a safe and healthy workplace and ensure that personnel are properly trained and have appropriate safety and emergency equipment.
- Offer Unisfair products, services and expertise that provide environmentally responsible solutions to clients globally.
- Participate as an environmentally responsible neighbor in the communities where we operate, ensuring compliance with environmental programs and assisting in improving conditions that endanger health, safety, or the environment.
- Conserve natural resources by purchasing and using recycled materials and reusing and recycling materials
- Develop and market products that are safe, efficient in their use of energy, protective of the environment and that can be reused.
- Ensure the responsible use of energy throughout our business, including conserving energy and improving energy efficiency
- Continually work on improving our environmental policy performance, and periodically issue progress reports to the general public through the company’s website.
Every Unisfair employee and contractor on the company’s premises is expected to follow this policy and to report any environmental, health, or safety concerns to management. Managers are expected to take prompt action.
GOAL & PUBLIC DISCLOSURE
Working off the baseline established 2012, Unisfair will set one goals for electricity consumption reduction and increase in recycled materials. The goal measuring period will be 12 months. Progress will be tracked on a monthly basis (i.e. September 2012 versus September 2013) to account for seasonal variances.
Goals will be determined in conjunction with Unisfair senior management, and follow the format below:
- Reduce consumption of electricity 5% by 2014
- Increase pounds of recycled material 5% by 2014
Unisfair is tracking progress on a monthly basis and is on target to meet these goals.
Unisfair will publicly disclose results associated with these voluntary environmental goals and other environmental aspects from the management system, including any regulatory fines or penalties that may have occurred.
Unisfair has defined, deployed, and sustains a corporate responsibility and environmental management system that identifies and addresses significant aspects of our supply chain social responsibility, including those elements articulated in Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition Code of Conduct (EICC).
Unisfair has not received any fines & penalties as a result of violating, or not being in compliance with, any legal and other requirements that apply to our organization’s environmental aspects. Unisfair will publicly disclose on this site should this happen.
