Hoang Vuong, Chief Executive Officer
Hoang drives the company’s strategy and is passionate about customer satisfaction and product quality. Prior to Unisfair, Hoang served as Chief Revenue Officer and CFO at SideStep, where he managed sales, online marketing and finance. He was instrumental in the company’s revenue growth and eventual acquisition by Kayak. Prior to SideStep, Hoang was at NetIQ as Senior Director of Business Assurance, where he developed the internal audit department, managed merger and acquisition projects, and was responsible for enterprise applications. Hoang’s previous experience includes consulting at Deloitte and Touche and various operations and finance positions at TurboLinux, Foster Farms, and Andersen Consulting. Hoang is a C.P.A. and holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
Shmil Levy, Sequoia Capital
Shmil Levy is Chairman of the Board and a Partner with Sequoia Capital Israel, where he focuses on semiconductor, software and systems investments. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2000, he was the President of Lucent Technologies’ Internetworking Systems division. Shmil joined Lucent following Lucent’s acquisition of Lannet where he served as President and CEO. Before joining Lannet, Shmil held senior technical positions at IAI, Boeing and Astronautics in the area of avionic systems. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Ben Gurion University.
Randy Ditzler, Sequoia Capital
Randy Ditzler is a Partner with Sequoia Capital Israel and focuses on systems and software investments. Before joining Sequoia Capital in 2004, Randy served as the CEO of Actona Technologies (CSCO). Prior to joining Actona, Randy was the Founder & CEO of Telegis Networks and MarketOne Builders. Earlier, he served as President & CEO of Freestone Investments. Randy has a B.S. in Industrial Technology from California State University in Fresno.
Vab Goel, Norwest Venture Partners
Vab Goel is a General Partner at Norwest Venture Partners and focuses his efforts on systems, services and Internet investments. He serves on the boards of LifeSize Communications, Mobile2win, Qumranet and Virtela Communications, and has worked closely with Extreme Networks. Before joining NVP, Vab served Qwest as Vice President of emerging technologies, a group he founded. Prior to joining Qwest, Vab worked at Sprint, where he was a principal architect for the Sprint Internet backbone and contributed to the company’s IP and optical network strategy. Vab earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University.
Guy Piekarz, Founder & Former CEO, Unisfair
Guy Piekarz founded Unisfair in 2000 with the vision of revolutionizing the way business professionals congregate and conduct business in a virtual environment. Until May of 2009, Guy led the company as its Chief Executive Officer and was responsible for setting corporate and product strategy, attracting funding from premier investors, and assembling the management team. Under his leadership, Unisfair has become the acknowledged leader in the Virtual Events market, delivering virtual events for the world’s most innovative Global 2000 companies.
Prior to founding Unisfair, Guy held Software management positions at Amdocs and Philips. Prior to his software management career Guy was an officer for five years in the Israel Defense Forces’ Intelligence Corps.
Guy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Economics from Tel Aviv University and graduated from the Advanced Leadership Program from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Benny Bergman, BCS Growth Fund
Benny is a Managing Partner of BCS Growth Fund (Israel) L.P. where he has invested in numerous Israeli companies covering a wide range of industries, including high-tech, media and communications. Most of these companies are registered on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and on NASDAQ. Benny holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from the Hebrew University and an M.B.A. from New York University.
Yaron Sheinman, Board Member
Yaron was a Founder of B.V.R. Technologies Ltd. and served as the Chairman and CEO of B.V.R. as well as its various subsidiaries since B.V.R.’s inception in 1987. From 1985 to 1987, Yaron was an independent consultant to Israel’s Aircraft Industries for the development of avionics systems. He previously served as a combat pilot for approximately 15 years.
